Sport England Promotion Campaign Management

Sport England is the Government's lead agency charged with the development and delivery of community sport in England. As part of the 'A Sporting Habit for Life' Strategy, Sport England has developed and is responsible for maintaining a national database of sports facilities, named Active Places.

Active Places was launched in 2004 and currently holds data on over 35,000 sites and 139,000 facilities across England. The data is used to support the planning of sports provision in England, powers the Be Inspired initiative and is publicly available via Active Places Power, the most comprehensive source of sports facility data in England.

Along with the Active Places Database Management, Sport England had the requirement for their Supplier to handle tactical promotion campaign fulfilment to encourage sporting sites to take control of the management of their sports facility data.

In the future, the Active Places Data Platform will be become self-service enabling those who manage sporting facilities to take ownership of their site and ensure that their data on Active Places is up to date. Involving facility managers means that updates can be made in real-time by the people who know their facilities the best, enabling updates to appear seamlessly on Active Places Power.

It was therefore desired that Adetiq would create and run a promotion campaign to encourage sports site owners to sign up and become a self serving data owner.

Sport England asked Adetiq to manage the full lifecycle of the promotion campaign including: creation, procurement of incentive inventory, marketing, claimant information capture/validation and fulfilment of incentive delivery. Adetiq then created and sourced three types of promotion packs directly targeting Public, Private and Individual site ownership type entities. A website was created to capture the claimant information and desired promotion pack with additional processes put in place to validate the authenticity of the claim. Once a promotional claim had been validated and the promotion packs chosen Adetiq would then fulfil the delivery of the pack direct to the claimant. Any queries regarding the claim would either come through the helpdesk enquiry service for both telephone and email or via the website through the live chat service.

“Adetiq’s commitment to the Active Places national sport facility maintenance contract has been first rate. Their team quickly became knowledgeable and passionate about the work enabling them to continuously improve processes whilst maintaining high standards and providing excellent customer service. They are a reliable and valued contractor to Sport England.”
